Pieter Kers, photographer since 1980.

Autodidact, I have a university degree in Physical Geography.

Fields of work; performances, architecture, portrait, fashion, reprowork and special projects.

While most of my work is commissioned by architects, artists and organisations, I also make autonomous work.

In all these fields I find my own way. The diversity challenges me as a photographer in a conceptual and technical manner.

When it comes to performance photography I prefer mall stages where it is still possible to feel connected and embedded, making close-ups photography possible.
During the years I photographed thousands of artists, mostly in the alternatve scene.

In recent years the use of (8K)video and drones have become part of my equipment.

Printed matter still has a place of its own and I print up to meters wide in my own studio with calibrated colors on non fading archival paper.
the printer is used as a reference, for my own work and for clients in the art scene that want the best quality.
